2. Editorial content

Our articles are provided for general information and interest. We aim to be accurate, fair and up to date, but news develops and mistakes can happen. We do not promise that every item will always be complete, current or error-free.

Nothing on this website is professional, legal, financial or medical advice. Obtain appropriate advice before acting where the consequences could be significant.

If you believe something is inaccurate, unfair or infringes your rights, email us with the article URL and details. We will review genuine concerns and may correct, clarify or remove content where appropriate.

3. Copyright and permitted sharing

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, review, edit, fact-check, reproduce, publish, distribute, archive and promote that submission in connection with The Shropshire Scoop, in any format. This allows us to resize or crop images and edit text for length, clarity, accuracy, style and legal reasons.

You confirm that:

• the submission is your own work, or you have all permissions needed to send it;
• you have permission from the photographer and, where reasonably necessary, people shown or identified;
• it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not misleading;
• it does not unlawfully infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality or any other person’s rights; and
• it is not defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful.

Sending a submission does not guarantee publication, payment, a byline or a particular photo credit. We may contact you with questions, decide not to publish, edit before publication, or remove published material. We will not publish your email address or identify you publicly unless the story requires it and we have discussed this with you.

If a child is identifiable, you confirm that you are entitled to provide the material and that any consent reasonably required from a parent, guardian, school, club or organiser has been obtained.

6. Links and third-party services

Articles may link to third-party websites for context or attribution. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. A link does not necessarily mean we endorse an organisation or every view it expresses.
